Gina Robinson Ungar is running for the office of Vanderburgh County Recorder because she understands that healthy, accessible local government is a vital part of Vanderburgh County’s, and our nation’s, wellbeing. Gina graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. in Sociology and earned a Master’s in Public Service Administration from the University of Evansville. She currently works in the field of healthcare and has previously served as case manager at ECHO Community Health and Aurora.
Prior to moving to Evansville, Gina owned and operated a one-woman dairy farm in Warrick County, producing fresh milk, eggs, and meat for local families. While caring for her farm and her family, Gina found ways to engage politically. She spoke out in favor of the government serving the People rather than insiders and special interests. Gina believes in government that is practical, efficient, and collaborative. Her administration will be transparent and welcoming.
Gina is married to pianist Garnet Ungar and together they have two teenage sons. Gina is a member of First Presbyterian Church and enjoys gardening, classical music, and building a resilient and just community.
